The 1930's-40's Tarzan movies were escapist filled adventure yarns, with just enough innocent sexual titillation to keep adults amused with ample showings of flesh and even underwater nude bathing scenes. Former swimming champion Johnny Weismuller with his perfect physique and raw magnetism, thrilled audiences for decades as Tarzan, and other heroes. Other well developed Tarzan's included Buster Crabbe, Lex Barker and Scott Fury.

Buster Crabbe was a great actor who played in many action serials and movies as Tarzan, Buck Rogers, Billy the Kid and The King of the Jungle to mention a few. He also did several westerns, but is best known as the original 1930's Flash Gordon. As an athlete and swimmer, Buster had an amazing physique and was very handsome in a modern way, which keeps his serials popular to this day on dvd.
