ReplyDeleteI have read that in several biographies over the years, he was quite attractive without 'the little tramp' costume. Gary Copper was very well endowed.... that's why Marlene Dietrich kicked off her shoes at the end of Morocco, and followed him into the desert. God he was beautiful in that movie, and Marlene carried her two good luck dolls with her all her life, they appear in that film in her bedroom. She would just go after men if they appealed to her. Then at breakfast, she'd read her lovers love letters to her husband. They had a very European marriage. She is the most fascinating woman... but we were talking about Chaplin.... he and Paulette Goddard.... she was feisty. Robbie.
