ANDY WARHOL'S FACTORY BOYS: THE JOHNSON BROTHERS JED & JAY Post 4

Twin brothers Jed (top, color, bottom middle) and Jay Johnson were photographed by Andy Warhol and Robert Maplethorpe (top two b/w shots) in the early 70's. Jed Johnson became very close to Andy for several years, and was his longest lasting live-in lover. The boys were well known in the New York scene in the 70's.  As an interior decorator  Jed designed Andy's New York home as well as that of many celebrities including Barbra Streisand's. He directed the cult underground film 'Bad' for Andy, and also worked on 'Heat' and 'Women in Revolt'.
On July 17 1996 he was tragically killed on TWA flight 800. His brother Jay now runs their interior design business.

Spring:

As well as my new regular 'HOTTIES OF THE WEEK' post, I am doing an occasional series of 'YOUTUBE FRIEND HOTTIES'. These are good friends of mine who have very interesting channels and videos. So far I have Antoine, Matthu and Wizard lined up. Antoine is a very beautiful French student who makes and appears in his own Youtube videos. I particularly think this shot of him is stunning. Quirky artistic Matthu creates his own videos for Youtube which he sings and dances in. Wizard is a very special friend who is talented and creative and a Scorpio like me.  I thank them for allowing me to show these special photos. I LOVE Youtube. Please visit their channels listed in the title of their posts.
Spring is here, and the rain that has been constant for weeks seems to have broken the drought. There have been floods up north, so they now have too much rain. But here in the capitol the beautiful Royal Botanical Gardens and all our parks, need all the rain they can get. I love our parks and gardens because they're so English and beautiful, and really unique. Its one thing about Melbourne that hasn't changed too much.....the feeling of tranquility and peace you get walking your dogs through our parks.
And with the Spring...come all the gorgeous boys down Chapel Street....smiling and laughing as they parade up and down, or sit in the sidewalk cafes and bars. Once the sun comes out...the warmer weather seems to bring everyone out....my favorite time of year.
